Jamie’s 30 minute Indian Steak

My second attempt from this book proved to be a lot less frenetic and allowed plenty of “Tidy as you Go” to stop the Kitchen looking like a bungled burglary.

I am not going to type out the whole recipe and there are plenty of places on the net where that has already been done; see Daily Mail Article Here

The end result however was a resounding success and has even provided a follow up lunch today from the remnants. A few observations:

Although we were 2 and the recipe was for 4, I simply scaled down the steak quantity. I could not believe that marinating the meat in a Patak’s paste would have been so succesful! The salad was great with the fried paneer a great addition for any Veggies negating the need to cook something else.

Another treat was the simple curry sauce. I also made a small amount of rice but that proved overkill. It may have been OK had I not done 2 naans.

600 grams of steak later !

Someone is still going !

I thought I had said in the post that I had not gone for a timed run. A comfortable hour would be a good time rather than juggling cooking curry sauce, rice, frying paneer and griddling the steaks simultaneously.

Yes did the pudding too – still some mango in the Fridge if you fancy a bit.

You missed an important fact from this post ….. how long did it take ? Did you get fully into 30 minute mode ?

You did the pudding as well then ?
